We hope you’ve been enjoying all the great baking tips from Lauren, one of our resident Drop bakers, and we know that you’re just as excited to hear about our progress behind the scenes.
We’re beavering away finalizing the Drop iPad-connected kitchen scale and conjuring up tons of amazing creations that will be featured in the Drop recipe app, so we can get them into your hands this fall.
The Drop Scale
Our talented group of in-house designers have been spending a lot of time between San Francisco, Dublin, Ireland and Shenzhen China, thinking through all the tiny nuances of the scale so we can be assured that you’ll just love the design and usability. From its glowing button, to the sensitivity and accuracy of what you want to weigh and the ultra practical red silicone top, we’ve thought through all the details so you can just focus on baking.
The RecipesWe have not one, but two test kitchens: one in San Francisco and one in Dublin, Ireland. And the old adage “if you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen” has never been more true! Our bakers are keeping those ovens fired up, day and night, to ensure that any recipe you make from Drop turns out the same way for you as it does for us. Consistent results, every time is one of our most important mantras. We know everyone hates a #bakingfail.
The Oohs and the Aahs
We’ve also been out and about showing people what Drop is all about. If we were lucky enough to meet you at Eat Drink SF in early August, thanks for stopping by. It’s clear a couple of features that get people really excited are the automatic rescaling of ingredients based on what’s left in your pantry, as well as offering substitutes when the cupboard is bare. If you’d like to come and meet us next time we’re out about, then mark your calendars for Brit & Co’sRe:Make event in San Francisco at Fort Mason on September 12 and 13.
